It’s Not Just a Shoot, It’s a Connection
Here’s something I want to be honest about. I don’t “choose” clients, they choose me. But, I do care deeply about who I work with. That distinction matters. There was a time when a rumor floated around: “You have to sit down with this photographer before he’ll agree to shoot you. He interviews you first.”
The reality? I just needed to talk. To listen. To understand the person in front of me before pointing a lens at them. I wasn’t trying to screen people out, I was trying to create something authentic.
What We Talk About (and Why It Matters)
When we sit down, we just talk. I want to know who you are, what you care about, and where you’re headed. Is this about your brand? A campaign? Acting? Dance? Something personal?
It’s not just about snapping great shots, but authentic photography. I want to know what makes you tick. What you’re hoping people feel when they see your images. That clarity helps us both walk into the shoot with intention.
We also get practical. Instead of bringing your whole closet, we figure out what fits the vision. It makes shoot day smoother, more focused, and way more fun.
Let’s Be Comfortable First
More than anything, it’s about connection. When you walk into the studio, I don’t want us to feel like strangers. We’ve already shared some laughs, maybe even some nerves. We’ve built something of a vibe, a rhythm.
And that shows in the photos. I can feel how a dancer might move, the spark an actor brings, or how relaxed (or not!) a CEO feels in front of the camera. That insight? It all comes from our conversation.
You Get All of Me, Every Time
Whether you’re a recording artist, entrepreneur, lawyer, or just someone stepping into this space for the first time, I bring the same energy, the same care. If you’re a musician, bring your music. It changes the room, lifts the mood, and brings you forward.
This isn’t just a step in the process. The consultation is the beating heart of authentic photography. It’s where the trust begins, and where the magic starts to show up.
If you’re investing your time, energy, and money in professional images, let’s make them matter.
Let’s start with a conversation.
